Exclusive Interview Transcript
Interviewer: Why should people trust you enough to buy a copy of Chief Bender’s Burden?
TS: Because I have 35 years of proven experience.
Interviewer: This is your first book. What exactly does that mean?
TS: The point is that this book is not just words.
Interviewer: You said the experience of completing the manuscript was harrowing. In a previous interview, in fact, you described a very dangerous scenario during a research trip to Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
TS: It’s true. I had to dodge sniper fire.
Interviewer: Sniper fire?
TS: It was dangerous. Too dangerous for a soldier. Or even for a First Lady.
Interviewer: Are you aware we have video showing you working on the manuscript in your underwear while sitting alone for hours in your basement staring at the ceiling?
TS: I say a lot of things — several words every day — so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement.

So you had the same media coaching as Roger Clemens, huh? Money well spent, my friend.
