Selling Better Than Obama
Check out the link while it’s still relevant, because surely this is the last time I will write these words: “Chief Bender’s Burden” has hit No. 1 on a bestseller list.

Chief Bender's Burden won the 2009 Seymour Medal, which recognizes the year's best work of baseball history.

That is very freaking cool. It’s the “Better than Obama” headline that got my attention. I thought your head swelled so much that you might run for President. I talked to my grandfather on the phone yesterday and – after reading Jerry’s clipping from the Northfield News – he’s really looking forward to reading Chief Bender’s Burden. It better live up to the hype, because although I don’t know where you live, I know where your web site is. Just remember, I speak more loudly than I write, and the last thing you want is an eyeful of either me in real-life or as a cartoon character. Anyways, good work and congratulations. I’ve wanted to write a science fiction novel since I was a kid, but haven’t yet come up with an idea for one. Maybe later still, I’ve got time. All the best…

Remember, those were Jerry’s words, Andy, not mine. I strongly encourage people to buy a copy but I cannot guarantee they will enjoy it.
Are authors allowed to split hairs like that?
Yes we can.
