As Seen In The Acknowledgments
While researching Charles Bender’s life I met so many people who were willing to help me even though there was nothing in it for them. Among those who donated time and expertise was Max Silberman of the Philadelphia Athletics Historical Society. The PAHS bills itself as the most successful organization of its kind; it’s not bragging when you back it up! Max has posted a review of the book on the society’s site. Just another example of his generosity.
